Ruined: A Vampire’s Tale

“I’ve never been bitten before.”

Her eyes tried to adjust to the lighting but there wasn’t enough to help her make out the shapes in the room around her.

“Do you trust me?”

She nodded even though he couldn’t see her. “Yes. That’s why I’m doing this.”

His fingers came up and gently tugged on the scarf around her neck and she reached up to rip it the rest of the way off. It was odd to sense him getting closer but not to feel body heat to accompany it. But God her nerves were starting to make her jumpy.

“You promise you trust me?”

She felt the words fan across her cheek and nodded again. And suddenly he was in her space, his nose running up the length of her neck as he breathed her in.

“You’re A Negative?”

She swallowed. “Yes.”

“Jesus.”
