Our Pre-Order Campaigns are designed for indie authors who want to give readers a little something extra while getting their books into the hands of Shelf Love shoppers. Whether you’re launching a brand-new title, celebrating a special edition, or bringing readers back to a favorite series, we can create a dedicated preorder listing and help promote your release through Shelf Love.

How It Works

You provide the books and the goodies, and we help bring the campaign to life.

Preorder campaigns should include:

  • Signed books or signed bookplates
  • Exclusive art prints or character art
  • Stickers, bookmarks, or author swag
  • Special edition books (when available)
  • Exclusive Shelf Love preorder extras (when available)
  • Bundles or other reader incentives

Shelf Love will create your preorder listing on our website, collect customer orders, and coordinate fulfillment based on the details of your campaign.

What We’re Looking For

We love campaigns that give readers a reason to order through an indie bookstore instead of clicking the giant orange button. 👀

Signed copies, exclusive swag, special editions, character art, bonus items, and other fun preorder incentives are always a plus.

After the Preorder

All authors participating in a Shelf Love Pre-Order Campaign are required to continue with Shelf Love through our consignment program after the preorder campaign ends.  Read about the consignment program here CONSIGNMENT

We want preorder campaigns to be the beginning of our relationship, not the end! Once your campaign wraps, your title will transition to our consignment program so Shelf Love readers can continue discovering and purchasing your book in-store and online.
